Nestled on the shores of Lake Ouachita (Mountain Pine, AR), Camp Yorktown Bay offers an ideal setting for religious instruction and traditional camping fun and adventure.
The Arkansas-Louisiana Conference of Seventh-day Adventists operates Camp Yorktown Bay and Retreat Center, offering a wide variety of Christian-centered camps every summer. Youth camps run one week (from Sunday to Sunday) and are designed to meet campers’ developmental needs. Yorktown’s Xtreme Camps feature smaller groups and offer campers more time to practice and master skills in favorite activities such as scuba diving and horseback riding. A Typical Day at Camp Yorktown BayEach day starts with Camp Council right after breakfast to dedicate the day to Jesus. After morning worship is the first activity where campers test skills and learn new ones. Campers will have the opportunity to earn the Pathfinder honor for most of the activities. After lunch and rest, each cabin rotates through a different activity each day to learn and experience all camp adventures together. After the cabin's activity, campers proceed to their second activity. Following dinner, campers hang out on the ball field, watch barrel races at the Rodeo, earn prizes at the Carnival, and play group games. Each night, campers gather at the Campfire Bowl to learn more about Jesus through songs, skits, and stories chosen to provide a positive, life-changing experience for each camper.
